Have a love for cats? Our cat foster coordinator/ cat adoption coordinator will be leaving us. If we have enough interested people, these positions can be two positions. With this position it would require two Saturdays a month and email time. If you are interested or know someone that might be interested, please email Becky at oaarscats@gmail.com. Please help spread the word. Volunteering with animals is very rewarding and any volunteer work looks good on a job application as well. So if you’d like to get more involved in helping those without a voice, again, please contact Becky at oaarscats@gmail.com

PCS season is approaching and OAARS is already getting bombarded with requests of turn in’s. If you are interested in opening your home to these animals that are lost, confused and have no clue what is going on, please email Becky at oaarscats@gmail.com or Amy at oaarsfoster@gmail.com. Please remember not everyone is a responsible owner so we are also handling American dumps as well. We always are in need of foster homes. If you are interested in cats please email Becky at oaarscats@gmail.com. If you have a preference for cats, please let Becky know (Only bottle feeding, kittens, cats, emergencies). If you are interested in If you have a preference for dogs, please let Amy know. (Only puppys, small dogs, specific breed). Usually the puppies and kittens go fast.
If you want to temporary open your home for a while or a short period so we can save an animal please email the appropriate coordinator with the time frame that you are willing to open your home. Thank you!

Meet Dante…he was roaming around Noah’s animal clinic for the last week scared and confused. He was finally caught and OAARS jumped into action as the local pound Ozato wanted him as well. He would not have made it out of their alive. He …wanted to jump into people cars to go “home”. Well tonight he is in a nice warm home laying on a big fluffy dog bed or carpet whichever he prefers. He is a huge baby and wants to kiss you all the time. He is neutered, UTD on shots and his ears are cropped. He is tall and currently weighs 66 pounds. He was an owner dump and now OAARS has him to find his forever home.

Remember Gamble who was saved from running out in the street on 58 next to the Pachinko Parlor, hence the name Gamble? He is a hyper boy who is filled with love and had been adopted twice but returned due to shedding. Two in a half years later he has found his forever home and he wanted to pose with his new family. Enjoy the picture.

On 1-11-11 OAARS was surprised with 5 pug/oki mix pups. A year later three siblings ( Poppy, Willow and Theo) met up for a play date. What a sight to see siblings playing, loved and spoiled. This is why all of OAARS volunteers do what they do.

Dini went missing a few days ago around the back side of O’donnell Gardens housing area towards the Kurashiki Dam area. She is 8 years old and has a chip in her shoulder blades. She is a Rotti-Boxer mix and is quite friendly. From the picture, she is black and tan with some white around her face and chest. Please contact Jim Harpin @ 090-6861-0984 or 090-6861-1078 if you see Ms. Dini.![423422_347187651991452_159217370788482_952804_104484904_n[1]](http://www.oaars.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/423422_347187651991452_159217370788482_952804_104484904_n1-225x300.jpg)

Another way that OAARS needs your help with volunteering is we are in need of volunteers at the Marine Thrift Shop on Camp Foster. The Marine Gift Shop plays an important role with OAARS as all the hours volunteered at the end of the quarter a monetary donation check will be donated to OAARS. This helps out the fur animals quite a bit as we know medical for them is quite expensive for them.
Plus you get first dips on any cool stuff coming in while volunteering. The atmosphere is great and you can decide how many hours you would like to volunteer. Just those two hours on a Saturday help the fur babies immensely.
I have attached the Thrift Store’s link for their website so you can take a peek at what they have to offer. There hours of operation are:
Tuesdays-Wednesdays-Thursdays: 10AM – 5PM
Saturdays: 10AM – 3PM

Thank you as always
